Knowledge Verified + Performance Verified = Certified
The National Center for Construction and Education Research (NCCER), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit education foundation, is recognized as "the leading provider of construction training, assessments, credentials, research, and career development" (www.nccer.org).
NCCER provides assessments to evaluate the knowledge of entry-level and journey-level workers in the construction crafts. GCTI offers proctored NCCER assessments of knowledge and performance at our location.
With these NCCER assessments, GCTI helps workers verify and certify their knowledge and performance by successfully verifying:
A worker's knowledge and performance are certified upon successful completion of both the written assessment and performance verification.
The worker's qualifications are tracked through the NCCER National Registry. These industry credentials give employers confidence in the craft professional's skill, knowledge, and desire for continuous professional development. They also provide the craft professional with industry-recognized credentials to help build upon their career field of study.
The Occupational Safety and Health Administration's (OSHA) Outreach Training Program developed a 10-hour safety course covering common safety and health hazards for entry-level workers can encounter on the job in the construction and general industries.
After successfully finishing the course, workers receive an OSHA course completion card.
GCTI offers this training program which covers the recognition, avoidance, abatement, and prevention of workplace hazards. Additional topics include workers' rights, employer responsibilities, and how to file a complaint.
